Random Thursday Thoughts

As some of you may know, I am constantly on a weight loss challenge.  I know I should accept myself for who I am, but I don't think I am this overweight, double chinned woman.

I have started getting up at 4:15 am and going to the YMCA for a 45 minute workout every morning.  It's pretty easy to get up during the week and do this because I start work at 7 am, but...the weekend!  I'm in a dilemma as to whether I should let myself sleep in and go to workout when I naturally wake up, or should I keep to my normal routine.

Today is my 3rd day of early rising and I'm feeling pretty tired this morning.  I'm afraid I will fail this weekend if I don't make a plan.

On a different note, I've finished my next back of meal recipes, although it only has 17 meals so I'm considering adding more.    This round of recipes is not double, tripled or quadrupled like the other one was, so I probably will add 3 or so more.  I'd really like to keep the count at around 20 meals.

My plan is to have the recipes uploaded by next weekend (10/18) and use that weekend for prep and freezing.  We have a K-State football game on 10/25, and 11/1 so I won't be able to prep those weekends.



Has anyone else started Christmas shopping?  I used to do the Christmas in July stuff and have everything pretty much done by Thanksgiving, but that hasn't happened in years.  Those years all of my shopping was done between Thanksgiving and Christmas.  This year, I am determined to do a little at a time because I don't seem to want the items that are on sale during the holiday anyway.

I've started my shopping a couple of weeks ago.  The problem I'm running into this year is what to get for some family members and the other one is who will come home for Christmas, so which presents do I need to ship?
